der untere Raum ist vom Ambiente deutlich weniger ansprechend als der obere Raum. Wenig Atmosphäre.

Prima Essen, etwas geräuschvoll, man sitzt relativ eng - ingesamt empfehlenswert

My wife and I is on a gourmet round trip in Norther Germany, and due to feedback from both ViaMichelin and Tripadvisor we agreed to visit this restaurant during our visit in Hamburg. I had prebooked the table a week ahead, and was really looking for forward to what we were about to receive. We were early, but a friendly waiter said the table was ready for us. To make this story short, we obviously were not considered as experienced diners, which is a terrible mistake from the waiter. Or that he was not paying attention as he should. I am a great fan of snails, and asked for these as a starter, my wife a salad and for the main course we both opted for the rabbit. The starter came suspiciously fast, and the snails were swimming in an oily sauce with croutons and little to no flavour in it, very fat and an absolutte down turn. My wife's salad was, what to say, ordinary. And then the rabbit arrived. The neighbour table had the same just before us, and they received the legs from the rabbit, looking moist and tender. What we got was the joints from the shoulders and thighs, absolutely not tender at all, I really had to use a lot of force to come through the meat, and I will not blame the knife. The mustard sauce was too acid of vinegar, and gave no "wow" effect. We were both very dissapointed for the dishes served as they were not on the cheap side. Based on the experience we didn't want any desert, but asked for two espressos to finish it off. They just NEVER came, and we had to ask for the bill. Waiting for the bill, bad was turning to worse. A couple were seated next to us, and another waiter was introducing todays specials not listed in the menue, with some very interesting options we never was introduced to. So needless to say, I was furiouis, no tip was left, and we will never go back, nor recommend the place or service to anyone.

Excellent food, friendly waiters and wonderful cozy location. We waited a bit longer than expected for the food, but it was worth it.

Leckeres Essen, freundliches Personal, Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis stimmt Wir kommen bestimmt wieder!

Anfänglich wurden wir eim wenig vergessen, aber sobald das Essen da war, war jede Kritik verschwunden... Ein Hochgenuss an Aromen, Variationen und eim sehr gutes Konzept. Reservierung unbedingt vorher tätigen und etwas Teit mitbringen. Es lohnt sich.
